Michelle Shoham, M.A.

Hello, I’m Michelle! I’m a parenting specialist who works primarily with parents of infants and toddlers up to three years old. I help parents and caregivers understand developmental stages and provide strategies to alleviate challenging situations so they can achieve a happy and harmonious relationship with their child. I have worked independently as a parenting coach for over 20 years providing private and group consultation, education, and support.

My background is broad and diverse. I was raised in a bilingual home in both the USA and Israel. I received my B.A. in Special Education and Arts from Tel Aviv University and my M.A. from New York University in Applied Psychology specializing in the Psychology of Parenthood. I have also completed the Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) Foundations and Theory course and practicum.

Naturally insightful and powerfully creative, I bring my caring and pragmatic sensibility to the needs of young children and their parents. In addition to my sessions with private clients, I worked at the 92Y Parenting Center in New York City for over 20 years, where I led classes and playgroups for young children and supported parents with a wide variety of parental and development issues.

While my main passion is helping parents, I also enjoy cooking, photography, bike riding, hiking, and getting my hands dirty in my garden.
